...Yay, I'm alive! Attempting some art after a two year hiatus. I know I did my kinky Sailor Moon last year, but I'm so not counting that. I was also getting tired of seeing the old, ancient journal entry.
I'm trying to find the few doodles I've done, to see if their worthy of being posted...I'd upload the 3min sketch of my niece I did....but it seems my mother has stuck it to the fridge....
Yes. It's on the fridge.
Do I feel like I'm 5?
I SURE DO!!
----------------------------------
I can't promise much art, I'm a lazy bum. Think drawing improves health? There's a motivator.
I read a lot, it keeps me sane. So....I'm totally gonna shamelessly advertise my favorite authors now! Whoo! Btw, any art I do, will probably be of book characters!
Karen Marie Moning - She is my God. Seriously, read her Fever series...its sooooo good. 5th, and last book of the series due out next year, ShadowFever! As the motto goes, 'Feel the Heat. Catch the Fever.' <3 Who doesn't love urban fantasy revolving around Fae and Sidhe Seers? I plan on getting around to drawing Mac and Jericho....I haven't seen much fanart of the awesome Jericho Barrons, and what I have seen isn't how I picture him...so I need to attempt him...he will be difficult.
Charlaine Harris - Just finished the Southern Vampires last week, can't wait for the next book...although I'm now pissed at the show True Blood for the changes. :S Eric Northman kicks ass, and I LOVE that Sookie is actually a size 8/10 and has curves and some meat on her bones. Thats so rare in books.
Karen Chance - More urban fantasy...Main character in her Cassandra Palmer series is a Clairvoyant, theres vampires, weres/shifters, fae, demons....etc...the whole package, done very well.
Isobelle Carmody - Obernewtyn Chronicles....post apocalyptic world, story of Elspeth, a farseeker, and her friends, all, mostly with psychic/telepathic abilities of some sort. Its really good. Been a year since I read it....its not done yet, and is super long. But really good.
Cassandra Clare - Her Mortal Instruments Trilogy is good...magic, runes, vampires, demons....etc....urban setting again. Cause I'm an urban fantasy whore. This ones more YA...young adult, I admit a lot I read is...because I find few books of the Urban Fantasy genre aimed at adults very good...most have way to much sex, to the point I think my time would be better spent watching porn....even that probably has more plot and character development that a lot of the books not tagged for young readers. I read a book for the story. And 75-80% of a book being graphic sex does NOT count as plot, or character development....so I usually stick to the young adult books. lol.
Carrie Ryan - Her first book is out, The Forest of Hands and Teeth. Well written, and eerie...it was just a really good book, the second book, The Dead Tossed Waves comes out next year.
Go read it all. Now. I commands it.

Magistrate: I hope you find the food acceptable as well. My new chef is quite competent.
Wraith: I certainly hope so. Your previous chef unfortunately proved to be far more appetizing than the meals he prepared.

Ugh, I think I need therapy, everytime I pass another anime artist's page, my first reaction is to blurt out "I WISH MY STYLE WAS MORE LIKE YOURS ARTIST-SAMAAAA!" Sigh.
